Reporting to the Planning Supervisor, you will join a team of professionals at on of our Sackville location. Key elements of this role include::
- Reporting to the Supervisor, Planning, you will be responsible for making effective decisions surrounding customer driven work requests. This involves developing effective scoping plans for new services, required maintenance or miscellaneous request.
- Work with field planning software as required to support the Regional Planners and other internal processes such as the Feeder Inspection Program and Aliant Work Requests.
- You will interface with internal and external customers.
- The successful candidates will update and process job orders and follow necessary process to ensure compliance with NSPI standards such as Joint Use, O/H & U/G, Environment, Rates and Regulations and billing.
- You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers, by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.
- You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives.
- You must be flexible and be available for after hour emergency service restoration.

- A Grade XII education or equivalent with strong computer skills.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience with NSPI Field Operations workflow including planning, scheduling, and dispatch of PLT work is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with field planning software used in the design and construction of overhead distribution systems would be of benefit.
- Previous experience with IBM Maximo, CIS, G4 and One GIS would be considered an asset.
- The successful applicant must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills.
- Experience handling multiple priorities in a high-volume, deadline-oriented environment.
