We offer funding and advisory services to clients including First Nations governments and organizations, communities, businesses, non-profits and a variety of other groups. We support projects, capacity development, and initiatives that provide long-term economic and social benefits for Yukon communities.The Community Development Advisor (CDA) is responsible for processing, analyzing, assessing, and making project recommendations ensuring that projects are effectively implemented, managed, monitored, and completed. - Post-secondary education in social sciences, business administration, community economic development or related field.
- Demonstrated experience with community development approaches to project development and management, and working with a broad range of clients, preferably in a northern or rural context.
- Significant experience in analyzing, evaluating, and making recommendations on client applications against program criteria and managing funding agreements with a variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience performing financial information analysis and report preparation.
- Experience in fund administration in a government setting.
Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above will be equally considered.Desired Knowledge, Skills and SuitabilityCandidates should have and may be assessed on:
- Ability to build collaborative working relationships and provide quality customer service Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including diplomacy.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience using a variety of computer software including word processing, SharePoint, spreadsheets, is needed.
