They coordinate and deliver professional development courses and provide training and education, designed in both in-person, as well as online formats to maintain and keep current the knowledge and skills of those working in government long term care homes and home care. They lead orientation of new hires and identify the resources required to meet training objectives and provide recommendations to Continuing Care management.

• Considerable years of clinical experience;
• Recent experience developing and implementing policies, training programs, and resources;
• Recent experience
• Recent experience building and facilitating education for online learning – considered an asset
• Formal coursework in facilitating adult education sessions – considered an asset

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Excellent knowledge of computer programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team;
• Ability to provide a supportive, flexible, approach to educating others;
• Ability to work with other professionals to exchange work delivery methods and techniques; and,
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and
• Attention to detail while adhering to standardized processes.

Conditions of employmentTB screening, security clearance with vulnerable sector (issued within 6 months of hire); CPR level C (completed within the past 30 months), WHMIS 2015, a valid class 5 driver’s licence or equivalent; registration with Yukon Registered Nurses Association (required prior to hire).Job requirementsThis job requires you to perform, and/or be exposed to, the following:Regular lifting up to 20 lbs, potential travel both in and outside the territory by both ground and air, potential exposure to pets, second hand smoke, warm temperatures and increased exposure to infectious organisms and exposure to latex products.
