The Chief of Security is responsible for managing the day-to-day delivery of Asset Security programs for all government owned facilities. Develops and implements procedures for the unit along with reviewing and assessing the program for improvements on a regular basis. Works closely with clients to develop and maintain strong working relationships to ensure the government and the department’s security objectives are met and aligned.   • Experience developing, implementing and training staff on security policies and procedures
  • Experience managing a large team and scheduling staff in a 24/7 environment
  • Experience with security software and monitoring programs
  • Experience with building systems and mechanical systems

Conditions of EmploymentThis is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:

  • RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check,
  • Yukon Class 5 driver’s license,
  • Standard First Aid with CPR (to be acquired within 6 months of hire).

Job RequirementsThis is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following job requirements:

  • Maybe required to work Shift work, other than regular day shifts
  • Wear a uniform provided by the department,
  • Use personal protective equipment provided by the department
  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
