Lambert Nemec Group, Winnipeg’s leader in Recruitment, has partnered with our client to recruit a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for all aspects of financial and risk management for the organization. This will include direct responsibility for leading a team responsible for all aspects of accounting, finance, budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, due diligence, regulatory compliance, financing, and insurance.As part of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide guidance and mentorship to operations, sales, the Board of Directors, and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be an engaging leader who will develop the team and processes to support a rapidly expanding business in achieving their goals.Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) include:
- Direct and oversee all Finance, Accounting, and Administration functions, implementing operational best practices.
- Participate in executive and board meetings to present financial reports, discuss issues, and contribute to strategic planning.
- Lead the development of business plans, operational structure, and financial management functions.
- Manage financial forecasting, cash flow planning, accounts receivable, budgeting, and reporting processes.
- Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with ASPE and applicable federal, provincial, and local financial regulations.
- Advise executive management on the financial implications of business activities and decisions.
- Manage a team of accounting specialists, ensuring high performance and effective financial operations.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, audits, tax filings, and long-term budget planning.
Requirements:The ideal candidate will be a designated CPA with a proven track record of 10+ years in progressively responsible financial leadership roles. Our client seeks a dynamic individual with the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an executive management position, demonstrating leadership and operational excellence.
- CPA designation, with a strong foundation in financial operations and management.
- A demonstrated passion for driving business growth and creating structured, sustainable strategies.
- Expertise in strategic planning, coupled with extensive experience in business analysis and performance evaluation.
- Exceptional financial acumen and the ability to navigate complex financial landscapes.
- Skilled in gaining buy-in from stakeholders and delivering high-level presentations, effectively communicating ideas and process improvements.
- A commitment to mentorship and coaching, fostering growth and development within the team.
- A strong sense of ownership, treating the business as if it were your own, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary $140,000 – 175,000 DOQ
