This position is part of a team of Compliance Officers that ensures safety of the commercial trucking industry and the general public by providing information on applicable Yukon and federally mandated commercial transportation regulations. You will be required to conduct various safety inspections, monitor weights and dimensions and compliance with Yukon and Federal Transportation Laws. • Experience in the Transportation industry
• Experience in a client service environment
• Experience interpreting regulations and legislation is an asset
• Post-secondary certificate/diploma or coursework in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice or related field is an asset

Conditions of EmploymentThis is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following condition(s) of employment:

• Vulnerable Sector RCMP Clearance
• Yukon Class 5 driver’s licence (upon hire)

Job RequirementsThis is a designated position within the Yukon public service which requires the following job requirements:

• Lifting weights of up to 25 kg physically
• Able to perform under vehicle inspections
• Wearing a uniform provided by the department

Additional information

• Annual Community Allowance of $1,785
• Travel Bonus Credits two (2) days per quarter (3 months)
