Total compensation will be based on prior experience, and qualifications. Position Summary:We are currently recruiting for a Multi-lines Claims Adjuster to join our team remotely in Prince Edward Island, Canada. Responsibilities:Evaluates property (commercial and residential) and casualty claims through loss investigation and negotiates settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements, while maintaining adequate production levels and customer relationships.

  • Interviewing claimants and witnesses
  • Obtaining official documents
  • Comparing claims information with evidence
  • Determination of liability
  • Makes offer to claimants
  • Issue cheque
  • Dispose of salvage
  • Pursue subrogation
  • Accurate recording, reporting and presentation of files, including presentation of evidence at legal proceedings
  • Maintenance of accurate billing, and time and expense records
  • Work with manager to maintain client relations

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years functional and technical claims handling experience in an insurance environment
  • Post Secondary education in an insurance related field considered an asset
  • Licensed and/or CIP designation
  • Experience in road adjusting including the investigation and detailed reporting of both property and casualty claims
  • Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactAnalysis required
  • Computer and reporting skills including Office 365
  • Bilingual in French would be considered an asset
  • Must be a team player with outstanding customer service skills
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic environment with opportunity for career growth
