Job description: Transdev is now hiring Red Seal Commercial Transport or Automotive Apprentice Mechanics for our Regina, Saskatchewan location!Kickstart your career with Transdev as an Apprentice Mechanic! This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with a team of skilled professionals in the transportation industry. You will assist in vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs while advancing your knowledge through a Red Seal-certified apprenticeship program.Your role:

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicles within the transportation fleet, working under the guidance of a Journeyman mechanic.
• Accurately diagnose and perform all phases of service and repair, including brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, and vehicle lifts.
• Carry out engine repairs and handle work on transmissions, fuel injection, hydraulics, and electronics.
• Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine maintenance on equipment.
• Complete work orders properly and accurately, maintaining detailed records of all maintenance performed and parts used.
• Inform supervisors of any potentially dangerous equipment and the corrective actions taken. Evaluate completed work prior to release and obtain approval if required.
• Move vehicles safely between work areas.
• Contribute to the team’s knowledge base for repairing various fleet vehicles.
• Follow all of Transdev’s standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other responsibilities or tasks as requested or required.

Your profile:

• You are part of an Red Seal apprenticeship program: Commercial Transport or Automotive mechanic.
• You hold valid driver’s license required.
• You have an appropriate mechanic’s tool set.
• You adhere to provincial and the Federal Motor Vehicle Act.
• You have advanced problem-solving abilities.
• You possess advanced computer skills.
• You have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• You are able to work assigned shifts.

Your location:

• This is a non-union position in Regina, SK.
• The work schedule is 40 hrs a week, 8am – 5pm.
• Shifts are Monday – Friday.
