  • Team Leader on interdisciplinary design/build teams, overseeing quality of work, fee compliance, schedule and coordination with design consultants.
  • Under the direction of the Principals, preparation of feasibility study reports and design / construction documents, including specifications.
  • Prepare or direct the preparation of presentation materials using 3D software.
  • Managing client relationships and communicating directly with project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • A combination of talent and technical skills in design projects and feasibility studies
  • Coordinate workload of team members through multiple phases to complete documents on schedule
  • At least 10 years of experience within an architectural firm
  • Experience in designing Institutional building (K-12 schools, Post Secondary, Long-term care homes, Police, fire, ambulance, Civic buildings, Justice etc)
  • A university degree in Architecture
  • Registration with the AIBC or eligibility to register
  • Construction documentation experience, including coordination BP and working drawings
  • Demonstrated competence in a leadership role
  • The ability to coordinate documents with consultants
  • The ability to work with ease in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
  • The ability to work well as a team leader, team member and independently
  • The ability to lead a project from design through construction administration to completion
  • The ability to manage a variety of complex projects simultaneously
  • A high level of proficiency with REVIT and AutoCAD
  • Knowledgeable of the BC Building Code
  • Working knowledge of specifications
  • A high degree of attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with LEED accreditation, net zero, accessibility accreditation, an Indigenous engagement will be highly considered.
