This position reports to the Mine Production General Foreman.
This person is responsible for: Ensuring that work is safely executed following Nutien’s Culture of Care and Core Values.
This position is in Vanscoy, Saskatchewan, Canada and is not available for remote work.
What you will do:
Maintain safe working conditions by identifying hazardous conditions and initiating corrective action
Understand and comply with the Company Code of Ethics
Comply with and maintain current knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Company Policies and Procedures, and Rules and Regulations
Lead and support investigations for underground safety incidents and production loss incidents
Plan responsibilities and work assignments for team and set expectations for team
Develop, coach, and manage performance of workers
Follow up on concerns and questions brought forward by the team, mine shift supervisor and GF
What you will bring:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent required
Underground Mine Supervisor Certification following Saskatchewan Mining Regulations is required
Mindset emphasizing the importance of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion in the organization while demonstrating respect, always
Passion and commitment for Safety and teamwork
Effective employee engagement and conflict management skills
