Job Description
Bellperson
First impressions are everything! Your engaging smile and personality are the essence of a great Bellperson with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. As you personally greet our Guests and assist them throughout the day, you will be empowered to deliver on our mission of “Turning moments into memories for our guests”.
Pay Rate:
$16.75 per hour

What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

Med Tech
  • Meet and greet guests, helping them with their luggage upon arrival and departure
  • Provide parking options and safely park any valet vehicles
  • Share knowledge of all hotel related information including; hours of operation, promotions, menu selection, meeting facilities, guest room and rate structuring and current availability
  • Share knowledge of all guest related activities and events within the hotel and through outside agencies, such as activities, theatre, transportation, recreation and current events
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Your skills and experience include:

  • Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a clean abstract is required
  • Class 4 BC Driver’s License is an asset, but not required
  • Ability to drive manual is required
  • Previous experience in a Guest Service capacity is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Knowledge of Whistler area is an asset.

Physical Aspects of Position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
