Salary range $64,104.00 – $74,130.00

What’s this position about?

The Administrative & Assessment Assistant is primarily the first point of contact with Indigenous group representatives, government representatives, stakeholder groups, members of the public, and process participants. The incumbent’s knowledge, actions, decisions, and service will influence YESAB’s public image. The Administrative & Assessment Assistant creates an important impression of the Board with any person who may call, email, or visit.

Additionally, the Administrative & Assessment Assistant is a vital part of the Teslin DO team. The key functions of the position will include providing administrative support to the Manager and Assessment Officer of the Teslin DO, supporting the public as they access our services, managing project files on our online registry, completing administrative tasks for the office and playing an active role in YESAB’s greater administrative team.

What will I be doing?

Each Administrative & Assessment Assistant within YESAB is responsible for:

  • Providing various administrative office supports (e.g., word processing services, data entry, photocopying, etc.) on an ‘as-needed’ basis
  • Uploading, maintaining, and filing public information into the YOR and the electronic filing system
  • Conducting project proposal checks on new project submissions
  • Creating Map Packages for project assessments using various software
  • Receiving, screening, and routing telephone calls and visitors.

If you are self-driven, have strong time management skills and task prioritization, experience working with computers (especially web-site interfaces), and are personable and adaptable, then this position is meant for you!
