Strong communication skills, good analytical skills, attention to detail, self-management and organization skills are required.Responsibilities:Be responsible for data analysis, validations, and handling, using TELUS Health’s internal software/systemsPerforms data reconciliations and benefit / costing calculations.Work with databases and TELUS Health’s internal software/systems.Prepares data and performs actuarial valuations for pension plansUnderstand and analyze financial statements and actuarial reports for pension plansConstruct worksheets / databases using Excel and Access to analyze data.Prepare draft reports on analyses.Receive and respond to routine inquiries and requests from clients.Takes direction from, and supports, team members.Attend internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends.Assist with special projects, as required.Become familiar with regulatory environments – legislation and policies.Requirements:University degree in actuarial science or mathematicsSuccessful completion of at least 1 SOA exam preferredStrong competency with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel and AccessCombination of excellent analytical and mathematical skills with strong work ethicExceptional communication and organizational skillsDedicated team player, who demonstrates initiative and independence.A bit about usWe’re a people-focused, customer-first, purpose-driven team who works together every day to innovate and do good.
